Living with epilepsy can be extremely difficult. Many people have seizures every day and in spite of their challenges, they want to do things other adults do, including living independently. These adults typically live with parents who worry about who will care for their children when they pass on. Angel Wings Foundation is working to create loving homes for adults with epilepsy – a home where they can be independent, safe and happy.

The Need for Safe, Supportive Housing

  • Waiting lists to get into residential service provider homes can be up to ten years
  • 1 in 26 Americans will develop epilepsy in their lifetime
  • An estimated 3 million Americans have epilepsy
  • 50,000 deaths occur each year from epilepsy related causes
  • 30% or 900,000 in the US continue to have seizures in spite of all available treatment options
  • 7 in 10 adults with disabilities live with their parent or guardian

We Don’t Just Create Homes, We Develop Independence for People Affected by Epilepsy

Angel Wings Foundation will seek donors, grants and fundraise to create a new housing model that will service adults with epilepsy. We will build and create homes, warm and loving homes with supports in place, where like-abled people with epilepsy can be happy, safe and independent. A home where family members can rest assured knowing that their loved one is cared for-well beyond their passing. Angel Wings Foundation will create an exceptional quality of life for its residents.

State funding for residential services in Illinois is nearly non-existent, so we depend on the support of businesses and individual donors like you. Your tax-deductible donations and gifts-in-kind will not only create homes, they will create independence.

We can’t do it without you. With your help, we can give adults with epilepsy a life of independence and help them take flight. Donate now to make a difference.
